Eleven long-term drinking water advisories have been lifted in Slate Falls First Nation.
The Northwestern Ontario community recently saw the construction of a new water treatment plant bringing 14 years of boil water advisories to an end.
The federal government kicked in $11.6 million into the new facility.
The new water system will provide clean and dependable drinking water to residents, a local elementary school, the local health centre and a nurse's residence.
Officials say this will also provide improved fire protection capacity for the community as well.
