Ontario's PC's are calling on the provincial government to address what it calls a growing opioid fentanyl crisis.

Leader Patrick Brown says a private members bill will be introduced at Queen's Park in the coming weeks that calls for funding of an opioid awareness campaign.

Brown says the number of drug overdoses should also be made public.

He says the information is important for health care providers and first responders to take action.

The party also wants a crack down on the sale of illegal pill press machines it says are used to make counterfeit pills.
